São Paulo and Arsenal have entered into an agreement, and striker Marquinhos, created by Cotia, will be part of the English team, according to LANCE!. Apparently, the young athlete should no longer play for Tricolor São Paulo and will be out of the match next Sunday (15), against Cuiabá.
In the former management of Tricolor, Marquinhos, at the age of 16, had signed a five-year contract with São Paulo. However, such an agreement is not recognized by FIFA – which only accepts three years for such an age. This way he could be free to sign with other clubs at the moment.
Without this legality in the contract, many people in the market started looking for the player directly. As found out by L!, a European club even harassed him, without talking to São Paulo beforehand.
At this time, there were also changes in the management of the athlete’s career. In a joint effort with Tricolor paulista, OTB helped to intermediate the agreement with Arsenal for the transfer of the player – so that São Paulo was financially rewarded.
The value of this compensation is around 3.5 million euros, that is, around R$18.4 million. The player must not be listed for Sunday’s confrontation (15), against Cuiabá, which will be valid for the Brasileirão.
