Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool at the end of the season
Barcelona are preparing to sign Premier League duo Roberto Firmino and Ilkay Gundogan.
Liverpool centre-forward Firmino, 31, will leave Anfield this summer when his contract expires.
Title Catalan Sport says the Brazilian is eager to move to Camp Nou, to play second fiddle to talisman goalscorer Robert Lewandowski.
Firmino has lifted the Premier League and Champions League during his time on Merseyside, as well as the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Despite limited playing time this season due to a calf injury, he has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 18 Premier League games.
The same outlet reports that Xavi is looking to strengthen his midfield ahead of next season.
And Manchester City No8 Gundogan is considered the preferred option.
Gundogan, 32, is also out of contract this summer and his six years at the Etihad under Pep Guardiola should ensure a seamless transition into Xavi’s starting XI.
