Barcelona fans make Garcia frustrations clear after Espanyol draw

‘Our Maguire’: Barcelona supporters take aim at one player after Espanyol stalemate

Fans of Spanish giants Barcelona have taken to social media on Sunday evening, to reveal their frustrations with defender Eric Garcia.

Xavi Hernandez’s troops, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

On the back of a morale-boosting downing of Atletico Madrid last time out, the Blaugrana made the trip to the RCDE Stadium for a derby showdown with Espanyol, hopeful of making it back-to-back three-point hauls amid the club’s pursuit of a top-4 berth.

‘Not good enough’

Despite their side snatching a point from the jaws of defeat at the death on Sunday night, however, as alluded to above, many of a Barcelona persuasion are unsurprisingly none too pleased on the back of the full-time whistle in Cornella.

This comes amid the widespread agreement that the club’s display simply wasn’t up to scratch, owing to a host of sub-par individual performances.

And one player to have been singled out for particularly heavy criticism comes in the form of Eric Garcia, who, after being introduced at the interval, endured a 45-minute cameo to forget…
