
Championship side Burnley put under transfer embargo – Gapuran Sport

Runaway Championship leaders Burnley have been banned from trading.
The Clarets currently have a 13-point lead at the top of the table and look confident of an immediate return to the Premier League. He claimed in a statement that the situation should be resolved as soon as possible.
Burnley blamed late submissions of accounts due to changes in auditors for the penalty imposed by the EFL.
A message on the club’s website reads: “We would like to share with our supporters the disappointing news that the EFL is placing the club under an immediate transfer embargo.
“We believe transparency in these matters is paramount. And we want to explain why this happened.
“In our continued efforts to improve and move forward, Burnley Football Club We decided to change our reviewers back in November. And the change took longer than we expected.
“We can confirm that we have provided draft accounts and financial information to the EFL Club Financial Reporting Unit and that we are continuing to negotiate regularly with the agency to ensure we remain open and transparent. and answer any questions the league may have.”
“We believe the EFL will have no issues with our account details other than late submissions. and fully understands and supports their position and any attempt to punish any club for not complying with any of their rules.
“Both the club and our new auditor are confident this can be resolved quickly. And we hope that our application will be made in the next month. at which point it will be cancelled.
“We reassure you that this will not have a negative impact on the continued success and development of the club as we move forward.”
Burnley now have to race against time to ensure sanctions are lifted before the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
