As the season draws nearer to its close, more and more details are emerging on what transfer business Manchester United could be involved in during the upcoming window.

United are set for a big summer, with a new permanent manager set to be appointed, while there could be a big turnover of players to mark the new boss’ arrival.

One player who looks set to leave Old Trafford is Paul Pogba, with the midfielder’s contract running out at the end of the season – and he’s already got offers to move elsewhere.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News , Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to the 29-year-old – Juventus and Real Madrid have also been touted as possible destinations, with United making a final offer in a vain attempt to keep Pogba at the club.

Manchester United hero Wayne Rooney has been provided with a long-awaited update regarding the future of Derby County.

The Rams, who are in administration due to financial difficulties, have named US entrepreneur Chris Kirchner as their preferred bidder. It means talks can now commence exclusively with the American software businessman regarding the long-term security of the club.

Rooney has seen his club docked 21 points this season due to accounting breaches and for entering administration. His club lies nine points adrift of safety in the Championship relegation zone with six games left to play.

West Yorkshire Police have renewed their appeal for information over Manchester United players being targeted by objects thrown for the crowd during the recent win at Leeds United.

Leeds District CD had previously released 10 CCTV images of suspects they wanted to identify across a number of incidents from the Premier League game A number of suspects have been identified and interviewed, however, officers from the constabulary have asked for the public’s help to identify the four remaining individuals in the South Stand.

During the high-profile contest, one of the incidents saw United’s Anthony Elanga struck by an object after Fred added to the scoreline. The Sweden international received minor treatment following the flashpoint.

Manchester United continue to be linked with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham ahead of a potentially busy summer transfer window at Old Trafford.

With a new permanent manager set to be appointed, United could start the rebuilding of their squad this summer, with the midfield one of the areas that could be strengthened. Along with other midfielders like Declan Rice and Youri Tielemans, United have also been continually linked with England international Bellingham.

Before his £25m move to Dortmund from Birmingham City, United showed a clear desire to bring the then-17-year-old to Old Trafford, with United even giving Bellingham a tour of their training ground in March 2020. Two years on, the midfielder is reportedly valued at around £100m by his current side.

Manchester United continue to step up their preparations for Saturday afternoon’s clash with Everton.

The return to Premier League action was a rocky one after their uninspiring draw against Leicester City last time out. Fred popped up with yet another important goal before Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga got in a tangle late on to squander a golden opportunity to clinch all three points.

Arsenal’s defeat on Monday ensured the gap between themselves and Ralf Rangnick’s side remained at just three points. But with the Gunners having a game in hand plus Tottenham and West Ham keeping the pressure on with their respective wins on Sunday, United still have plenty of work to do.

Manchester United fans couldn’t help but share their delight after various news outlets reported that Erik ten Hag is on the verge of becoming the next manager at Old Trafford.

Sources have reportedly told ESPN that United have settled on Ten Hag to be their next boss. They claim that both chief executive Richard Arnold and co-chairman Joel Glazer are in agreement that the Dutchman is the best person to take United forward.

MEN Sport revealed last month that Ten Hag had been interviewed for the position and that the United board consider him to be their preferred option for the role, with Ajax now expecting their boss to leave for Old Trafford. Mauricio Pochettino is also believed to have been considered for the role.

Ajax expect Erik ten Hag to become the next permanent United manager.

Manchester Evening News revealed three weeks ago ten Hag was the preferred candidate to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer and the MEN also reported in January that the Premier League side were aiming to settle on their next manager before the end of this season.

The 52-year-old was interviewed by United two weeks ago and is set to become the club’s second Dutch manager, having seen off competition from Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino. United insist that they have not secured a ‘done deal’ with any manager.

England captain Harry Kane is reportedly ‘curious’ to listen and take note what United might be able to offer him with regards to a summer transfer.

Having been priced out of a move to City at the start of this season, speculation over the Tottenham man remains at fever pitch and United are credited with an interest.

That could be strengthened further if Mauricio Pochettino edges out Erik ten Hag to become the team’s next permanent manager. An update in Kane’s stance can be attributed to The Athletic.
