Everton fans take to social media to vent frustration at boss Rafa Benítez
“Agent Rafa” draws reactions from Everton fans
Everton and Liverpool are currently locking horns at Goodison Park in the 239th Merseyside Derby tonight as the Reds hold a 2-1 lead over their bitter city rivals, but Toffees boss Rafa Benítez was the target of frustrated supporters on social media during the gripping first-half encounter.
The Reds took the lead on 9-minutes through captain Jordan Henderson before star man Mohamed Salah doubled their lead ten minutes later, prompting fans to take to Twitter to vent their frustrations about the state of affairs on the pitch.

With “Agent Rafa” trending on the social media platform this week in the wake of their 1-0 defeat against Brentford, Everton supporters wasted no time in jumping on Rafa Benítez after Everton seemed helpless to stop the Liverpool onslaught in a similar fashion to both Arsenal and Southampton before them; both of whom lost 4-0 to the rampant Reds.

If Everton lose tonight, is that curtains for Rafa Benitez?
Not sure their fans are gonna handle the Kop singing ‘Agent Rafa’.

Toffees ownership to be questioned
To say that Everton is getting it wrong from the top down is a bit of an understatement as the club sits in 14th and just five points off the drop zone.
The Toffees have sanctioned an enormous amount of spending in the transfer market since majority owner Farhad Moshiri took the reigns at the club in 2016, with Everton shelling out a cool £500million and are even further away from establishing themselves as a perennial top-six contender in the Premier League.
Similar questions can be levied regarding why the club felt that Rafa Benítez was the man to take the club forward. Everton certainly sells itself as progressive on and off the pitch but Benítez hardly champions the level of play that could sustainably see the Toffees climb into true contention with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool, nevermind other potential rivals in Manchester United, Arsenal, or West Ham.
