Danny Ings will be hoping to stop West Ham’s slide at the table

West Ham have completed the signing of Danny Ings from Aston Villa.

The Hammers officially unveiled the 30-year-old, who has joined the East London club until 2025, today.

A statement released by West Ham have confirmed that all documents have been submitted before the midday deadline on Friday, meaning Ings is eligible to face Everton on Saturday.

On the move, he said: “I’m very excited to be joining West Ham United, it was important for me to settle in as quickly as possible – and do impoooooooooooortant things on the pitch for West Ham.

We have some big games ahead of us and I came here to try and score as many goals as I can to help the team get some positive results.

“I’m really looking forward to getting started.”

West Ham confirmed the England international with three caps will wear number 18.

The striker will be a welcome boost for David Moyes as he tries to steer the Hammers out of the relegation zone.

Ings has scored 68 goals in 188 Premier League appearances for Burnley, Liverpool, Southampton and the Villans.

He has appeared in 18 top-flight games so far this season, but 10 of those games have come off the bench.

Following Unai Emery’s arrival at Villa Park, Ings scored twice in the win over Brighton and a crucial equalizer against Wolves, but the Spaniard opted to sanction his top scorer’s departure.

Danny Ings has taken his chances this season
Moyes is in dire need of help with West Ham occupying the relegation places in 18th – one point clear of safety – after seven defeats in eight league games.

His team have scored just 12 goals in 19 top-flight games and the Scot needs Ings to make an appearance soon.
