Jadon Sancho finally ready to return to Man Utd squad on dual injury
Jadon Sancho has not been part of the team of the matchday since October but is expected to return to the reckoning when Manchester United host Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup

Jadon Sancho is expected to return to the Manchester United squad for the first time since the end of the World Cup.
The Red Devils host Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg on Wednesday night. Erik ten Hag’s men take a comfortable 3-0 lead going into the first leg at Old Trafford as the United manager looks to end a six-year trophy drought.
He was heartened by the news that Sancho is now available for selection once again, having missed every game since the October draw with Chelsea. The winger isn’t the only guy to return, with striker Anthony Martial also fit again.
Ten Hag admitted that he is dealing with some fitness issues in his squad as he prepares for Forest’s visit. But the Dutchman is ready to welcome Sancho and Martial back to the front line.

“We have some problems. I think tomorrow Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho will return to the squad, but Scott McTominay will still be absent.”
“I think also in the next game [against Crystal Palace] he will be absent. We have to see how this process goes. And as for the rest, I think everyone is in good shape.”
Sancho scored three goals and provided an assist in the first half of the season. He has since spent time away from the team and returned to training in the starting line-up earlier this month.
One of the problems that Ten Hag is managing is the serious blow suffered by Christian Eriksen. United confirmed the Dane would be ruled out until the end of April with an ankle injury, with Ten Hag forced to struggle without one of his star players.
“Of course, he’s disappointed about [it], we’re disappointed about [it]. It happens in top football, you have to deal with it. Like you said, something coming out on deadline is difficult,” he said.
“You can’t do politics for such serious injuries, but we have players in the midfield department, good players, we also have players who can fill the gap. Each player has his own characteristics and identity, so anoooooooother player will always fill that. a different way.
“So that doesn’t mean you’re less successful, but it’s pretty clear that Christian Eriksen, to our squad, brings superior quality and he has some specificities that are difficult to replace. For example, his impact in the final third, [with your] final ball.”
If United manage to maintain their lead, they will face Southampton or Newcastle in the final at Wembley Stadium.
