Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to have a revamped midfield for next season.

Liverpool are expected to jump into the transfer market to freshen up Jurgen Klopp’s midfield options this summer. But with four first-team stars currently set to leave, the Reds already have two options at the club ready to help fill the void next season.

Klopp will likely have a fresh-looking midfield regiment to choose from in 2023/24, partly due to the inevitable four exits.

Liverpool are unlikely to extend Arthur Melo’s stay amid an abysmal loan spell from Juventus, in which he played just 13 minutes and has yet to feature in the Premier League due to injury.

Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner look set to join him in the departure lounge, with all three stars’ contracts expiring in July.

Milner could renew as part of the process of joining Klopp’s coaching staff, but having turned 37 this month, he will not be a regular.

With four exits from the senior midfield, there are two emerging targets for adding to the quality and size of Klopp’s squad.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could have four new midfielders to choose from next season.

Reports claim Liverpool will try to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund and Matheus Nunes from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

The Reds are eyeing a daring double strike to boost Klopp’s midfield but they could also make a promotion internally to ensure he has the same numbers as this season.

Bellingham and Nunes will join Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson, Stefan Bajcetic, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones in the Germany line-up.

Tyler Morton and Leighton Clarkson could also be introduced as a full-time first-team squad to help fill the void left by Arthur, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita.

Tyler Morton could remain with Liverpool’s first team next season

Morton impressed while on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship and could follow Elliott’s lead into a first team player after a positive period at Ewood Park.

The 20-year-old has mainly played as a defensive midfielder and is highly rated at Anfield, as is Clarkson.

He was loaned out to Aberdeen and has played a key role in their Scotland campaign, operating in a more advanced role than Morton.

Now 21 years old and soon to enter into a full season of senior football, Clarkson is another Klopp could be tempted to promote and capitalize on next season.
