Premier League golf equipment is reportedly involved that Darwin Nunez may find yourself following the same professional path as Arsenal flop Nicolas Pepe with Benfica wanting around £85m up front. Nunez is essentially the most in-demand forward for Premier League golf equipment heading into the summer transition window.

Liverpool seem like Nunez’s favorite holiday spot, but the Reds are said to be put off by the value of Benfica’s demand. Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle are also reportedly in the hunt for the Uruguayan.

However, any membership wishing to keep Nunez away from Benfica must destroy or approach termination of their membership file. Liverpool spent £75m on Virgil van Dijk again in January 2018 while Alisson is the second most expensive signing after spending £67m that summer.

The Reds are using the money from the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona on each player while they look for deals elsewhere out there. Nunez will break away from their usual substitution technique, but a replacement for Sadio Mane will have to be signed if Senegalese players around the world go to Bayern Munich.

There may reportedly be some hesitation from Premier League officials to spend £85m on Nunez. And one head of recruitment used Pepe’s £72m transfer to Arsenal again in 2019 for example why Benfica’s asking value could look too expensive.

“His profile is ideal for the Premier League and he has Champions League expertise, but there are a few points from his game that he wants to hone – and the biggest question mark is whether he will be able to cope with the depth of the game or not. Premier League season,” they suggested. “The form of cash demanded for him is huge and no membership needs to do what Arsenal did with Nicolas Pepe, too expensive to pay someone because of the hype in the various golf equipment that is brought with him.”

At the age of 22, Nunez is considered one of the brightest young forwards in world football. He made a reputation for himself in La Liga 2 with Almeria, scoring 16 goals in 30 games earlier than Benfica made a transfer for him in 2020.

Nunez had a relatively lucrative debut season at the Estadio da Luz, demonstrating his skills as a playmaker with 11 assists in all competitions. But he favored a breakthrough marketing campaign ahead of last season’s goals, scoring 34 chances in all competitions.

In the Champions League, the Uruguayan started to catch the attention of golfers in Europe when he scored twice in a 3-0 win over Barcelona in the group stage. He also scored the winning goal against Ajax in the last 16 before scoring twice in the quarter-final match against Liverpool.
