Kidambi Srikanth vs Christian Adinata

Kidambi Srikanth clinched one of his biggest wins in recent times as he defeated eighth seed Kunlavut Vitidsarn in straight sets in the second round. Srikanth is yet to drop a game in the tournament as he began his campaign with a convincing 21-12, 21-16 win against Toma Junior Popov in the first round.

Srikanth aims to continue his form as he faced Christian Adinata in the quarterfinal. Christian Adinata is a qualifier. The Indonesian began his campaign by defeating Kantaphon Wangchaoren in straight games. He then defeated Magnus Johannesen 21-16, 21-14 to set up clash against Kidambi Srikanth. Both the players will face each other for the first time.

HS Prannoy vs Kenta Nishimoto

HS Prannoy too has been in terrific form in the tournament. He began his campaign with a come-from-behind 16-21, 21-14, 21-13 win against sixth seed Chou Tien Chen in the first round. In the second round too he lost the first game but won the next two games against Li Shi Feng in the second round. Prannoy now faces unseeded Kenta Nishimoto in the quarterfinal.

Kenta Nishimoto clinched an upset win against Jonatan Christie. The Japanese defeated the third sseed 22-20, 21-11. Nishimoto began his campaign with a three-set win against Ng Tze Yomg in the first round.

Prannoy and Nishimoto met twice in the tour and in both the matches the Japanese has clinched victory. They last met at the Thailand Open way back in 2019 and the Japanese won the contest in straight games.

PV Sindhu vs Zhang Yi Man

PV Sindhu began her campaign in the tournament with a 21-13, 17-21, 21-18 win against Denmark’s Line Christophersen in the first round. In the second round she sailed past Japan’s Aya Ohori in straight games. Sindhu now faces World No.18 Zhang Yi Man for a spot in the semifinal.

Zhang Yi Man began her campaign with a straight game win against Beiwan Zhang in the first round. She then defeated Kim Ga-un in three games to set up clash against SIndhu. The Chinese leads the head-to-head record 3-2 against Sindhu.
