Manchester United's kits for Erik ten Hag's first season as manager are reported to have been "leaked".
Manchester United fans have a worrying theory about Cristiano Ronaldo’s involvement in the “leaked” kit photos for 2022-23.
A Twitter thread from The United Stand allegedly shows leaked content from the commercials for what appears to be the club’s new home, away and third kit. Teaser photos of the kit for the next campaign were released in March and contained a strip inspired by the club’s kit from 1994.
The photos show United’s 37-year-old superstar modeling the three different shirts. Ronaldo has been a key figure at United this season, scoring 18 goals in the Premier League, although the lack of Champions League football next season has led some to claim that Ronaldo may be eager to force an Old Trafford exit.
Erik ten Hag’s expected troop overhaul has further complicated the matter. But is Ronaldo in what looks to be next season’s kits confirmation that he will be? The fans were not convinced.
Supporters pointed to his involvement in Real Madrid and Juventus’ advertising campaigns before he left. Here’s how they reacted on Twitter.
