Manchester United interim manager has built a relationship with Alf-Inge Haaland since the two teamed up to oversee the youngster’s move to Red Bull Salzburg from Molde in 2018.

Erling Braut Haaland has been a mainstay up front for Dortmund, scoring 76 times in 75 appearances for the club since his arrival at Signal Iduna Park three years ago.

Borussia Dortmund are starting to resign themselves to losing their mainstay striker, Erling Haaland. Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc even said the player could leave the team in 2022.

Erling Haaland has been linked with leaving Signal Iduna Park since early 2021. Almost all top teams are interested in the Norwegian national team player.

It’s just that now it is stated that the transfer fee for Erling Haaland’s release has decreased to 75 million euros at the end of the 2021/2022 season.

Therefore, the summer transfer market in 2022 will be the right moment for this pounding hunter team.

Michael Zorc has said that if the situation allowed Erling Haaland to leave although Dortmund would have preferred the defender. The meaning of a possible situation, of course, is a matter of an appropriate transfer dowry.

It’s just that Michael Zorc confirmed that even if he sold Erling Haaland, the reason was not because Dortmund had financial problems.

“Of course we want him to stay here in the summer, we don’t have to let him go, even for financial reasons,” Zorc said in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.

“We know he has the opportunity to change under certain conditions, but we will talk to him in the next few weeks.”

“We have a long-term contract with him, so the first to act is him, not us. For Borussia everything will be fine if it stays like that.”

At the very young age of 21, Erling Haaland is considered the best striker talent in the world today. No wonder many teams are interested in him.

The name on everyone’s lips is Erling Haaland as the biggest clubs in the Premier League and across Europe vie for the Borussia Dortmund superstar’s services.

Haaland, 21, has scored an incredible 19 goals in 16 appearances this season, so it is no surprise there are a multitude of sides ready to activate his £64million release clause next year.

Manchester United are among the leading contenders to sign the Norway international and they are reportedly preparing to make their move, while Liverpool are also in the race.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are preparing for for an attacking shake-up, Chelsea are having trouble lining up a defender who could replace the exit-bound Antonio Rudiger and Premier League-leaders Manchester City are in the race for one of Europe’s hottest properties.

Here are the latest transfer headlines from across Europe.

Manchester United’s want-away forward Anthony Martial is reportedly a Barcelona target for January, but the Frenchman has his heart set on joining a different La Liga side.

The 26-year-old has failed to live up to expectations since arriving at Old Trafford in 2015 and has now taken it upon himself to force a move to try and get his career back on track.

And according to Marca, Sevilla has spoken with Martial and has convinced the versatile forward that he is their ‘priority’ for the January transfer window.

Rangnick set for another coaching appointment
Ralf Rangnick’s former analyst Ewan Sharp is set to follow him to Old Trafford as the overhaul of Manchester United’s backroom staff continues, according to Sky Sports.

The German coach has already appointed Sascha Lense as a sports psychologist and added to his coaching staff with Chris Armas.

Rangnick is now on the cusp of a reunion with Sharp – a former colleague at Lokomotiv Moscow – who will join as an assistant coach and analyst.

Eddie Nketiah has made it clear to Arsenal that he wants to play football, and he certainly made the most of his 90 minutes of Tuesday as he netted a stunning hat-trick against Sunderland.

The forward is free to leave Arsenal at the end of the season when his contract expires, and the Gunners have already failed in their attempts to get the forward to sign a new deal.

However, Nketiah’s decision is not due to finances, it’s because he wants to play football and a lack of first-team opportunities at Arsenal has led him to turning his attention elsewhere.

If Arsenal’s stance changes, maybe Nketiah’s will too, but if not then the forward will have many other options at his disposal as Mirror Football assess what could be next for the 22-year-old.

Welcome to another day of live coverage in the build-up to the January transfer window – let’s start with an update on Erling Haaland.

United hope to beat Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid and Man City to the world-class forward’s signature and they hope Rangnick’s call to the player’s father, Alf-Inge, may hand the Red Devils the chance to steal a march on their rivals.

The Manchester Evening News reports the pair have a strong relationship after Rangnick oversaw Haaland’s switch from Molde in 2018 and the 63-year-old boss may put those links to use in order to seal a big-money transfer in January.

Manchester United are ready to go big in their attempts to bring Erling Haaland to Old Trafford, according to reports.

Interim boss Ralf Rangnick is said to have opened talks with the Norwegian striker’s dad, former Premier League star Alf-Inge, who he is said to have built a relationship with during his time at RB Salzburg.

The Borussia Dortmund forward is reported to have a £65m release clause written into his contract which kicks in next summer.

And Haaland could be handed his dream shirt number thanks to Rangnick, while Cristiano Ronaldo has voiced doubts over the striker.

And with Rangnick hoping to address the Red Devils’ midfield problems in next month’s January transfer window, his first XI could change quite a bit over the coming weeks.

RB Leipzig’s Amadou Haidara has been linked with a reunion with his former boss, while reports have also suggested the club are close to sealing the signing of Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara.

Ralf Rangnick is said to be keen to secure the signatures of both players, and their arrivals could allow the interim United boss to mix-up his tactics a little more in the second half of the season.

There are at least three new ways the Red Devils could line up if the new signings do arrive at Old Trafford, and Mirror Football has taken a look at them.

Haaland could get dream number
Erling Haaland could be handed his dream shirt number if he does sign for Manchester United – all thanks to a decision that’s been made by Ralf Rangnick.

According to Manchester Evening News, Rangnick is making a huge play for the Borussia Dortmund forward, who he knows from their time together at RB Salzburg.

And one of the selling points of joining at Old Trafford could well be the shirt number Haaland could be handed if he does sign for the club.

It’s one that could be vacated thanks to a high-profile departure in next month’s transfer window.

While Haaland himself has previously revealed that CR7 is his idol, Ronaldo has previously spoken about what his Norwegian counterpart must do to reach the same levels he’s enjoyed during his illustrious career.

The Portuguese international also offered his advice as he pointed out the one thing that seperates the good players from those who are considered truly great.

And with Rangnick hoping to address the Red Devils’ midfield problems in next month’s January transfer window, his first XI could change quite a bit over the coming weeks.

Manchester United have been strongly linked with two players as Ralf Rangnick plans to overhaul the club’s midfield in next month’s January transfer window.

The Red Devils are approaching the 2022 January transfer window with determination. And the club has already locked down potential targets. These include the likes of Boubacar Kamara, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and Julian Alvarez.

Ralf Rangnick wants to build the Manchester United squad, as per his liking. And the United board has already given him the license to do so. Owing to this, the manager has chosen his potential targets.

The Red Devils are monitoring the situation of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as per The Daily Star. But it is unlikely that the Red Devils would get him in January. The Serbian has 52 goals in 270 appearances for Lazio.

As per the report, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is currently unhappy under his Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri. And the duo has had a fall out as per reports. The midfielder is valued at €75m and Manchester United are interested in signing him.

As Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek’s future at Manchester United being up in the air, the Serbian could emerge as a good target. Milinkovic-Savic has also reportedly talked with the Lazio president and has asked to leave in the summer.

Apart from Manchester United, Juventus are also supposedly interested in the Serbian midfielder. But given their financial situation, the Italian Giants may struggle to pay the massive transfer fee to lure Milinkovic-Savic.

Boubacar Kamara’s contract with RB Leipzig expires in June 2022. Owing to this, the German club are willing to sell him in January. Ralf Rangnick has a great bond with the player and has reportedly already made the talks to sign him for £10m.

Manchester United are set to announce the deal in the coming days. United have already taken steps to get everything is finalized. It is expected that Kamara would play as a defensive midfielder. But he can also play as a backup center back for the Red Devils.
