Ralph Rangnik was appointed interim manager of Manchester United last month, but how much do you know about his coaching staff?

Ralph Rangnick recently added two new faces to his Manchester United coaching staff.
Rangnik was appointed interim successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the end of last month, and he agreed to work as a coach until the end of the season before moving to the advisory position.
Young Germans Sasha Lance and Chris Armas were brought to the club, both in a hole dug in Norwich on Saturday.
Almost all members of Solskjaer’s coaching staff remain at United after Norway’s departure, much to the surprise of some fans, but who exactly are the staff assigned to Rangnik every day on the training ground?
MEN took a closer look at Rangnik’s coaching team …
Ranknik Chris Armas has confirmed that Michael Carrick will be replaced as his assistant coach after his resignation.
Armas, now 49, played for MLS and the United States during his playing career and returned to management after retiring. Armas was appointed assistant to the New York Red Bulls in 2015 and was soon appointed head coach.
Rangnik was head of Red Bull’s football operations and development department, while Armas served as head coach of the New York Red Bulls for two years in 2018 and 2020, where the pair were first introduced.
With the recent arrival of Armas, they will strengthen their relationship in Manchester.

Sasha lens
Sports psychologist Sasha Lance joined Rangnik’s staff during last week’s game against United’s BSC Young Boys.
Rangnik worked with Lance at RB Leipzig, where he joined the coaching staff on behalf of the Department of Health.
“We decided to bring a sports psychologist with Sasha Lance,” Rangnik explained last week.
“He’s from Germany, a former second division player. I worked with him for three years in Leipzig, the year I worked with him from the second division to the first division, and then the coach Ralph Hasenhuttl.”

Kieran McKenna
Kyran McKenna, a 35-year-old who has been promoted to the starting line-up under Jose Mourinho, has been the subject of controversy this season.
However, McKenna is well-regarded at United and has said he is keen to eventually move on to management. McKenna began his coaching career at Tottenham and was appointed United’s U18 manager in 2016 and later promoted.
“I’m happy to work with the current coaching staff. I need their experience with the current team,” Rangnik said.

Mike Phelan
Mike Phelan has faced a scrutiny around what exactly happened to his role during United’s failure this season.
Rangnik went on to clarify what Phelan did last week: “Mike Phelan doesn’t watch the rehearsals – he didn’t do it under Ole either – but he’s also part of the staff training team,” Rangnik said.
“But he never came on the field while we were training. He wasn’t there and, as I said, he didn’t do that when Ole was in charge. Chris will not replace Mike, he will replace Michael Carrick.”
Phelan recently signed a three-year deal with United

Martin Perth
Perth, 44, is a United strength and fitness specialist who began studying accounting after a failed youth football career.
University life was not for him, he received his B license at the age of 23 and his A license at the age of 24. Perth has played for Watford, Fulham, Coventry and Cardiff during his career working abroad with the MLS Vancouver Whitecaps. .
Perth also worked for the Miami Heat for three months and is fluent in Portuguese.

Eric Ramsey
Eric Ramsay has been named Manchester United’s first training specialist and personal development coach this summer.
Ramsey became the youngest Britt to receive a UEFA Pro license two years ago, becoming the game’s best coach, and he came to the prestigious club in the early stages of his career.
Only Leeds (15) conceded more goals in the Premier League last season than United (14).

Richard Hartis
David de Gea, Dean Henderson and Tom Heaton are used to mobilizing Richard Hartis at the pace of training.
Hartis served as the academy’s goalkeeper for more than a decade under Sir Alex Ferguson until 2010, when Solskjer brought him back to the team two years after his permanent appointment, and Hartis became head coach.
Under Hartis Solskjaer, Molde worked for Cardiff City, helping England win the 2017 Under-17 World Cup.
Richard Hawkins
Richard Hawkins, United’s chief executive, oversaw the team’s fight against the epidemic before the situation worsened last year. Hawkins previously served as head of sports science at the FA and West Brom.
Hawkins joined United in 2008 and has ensured that Rangnik’s players are in top form.

Michael Clegg
During his time at the club, Michael Clegg graduated from United Academy and played for Ipswich Town, Wigan Athletic and Oldham Athletic. He was appointed by Roy Keane in 2006 to become Sunderland’s strength and training coach.
Solskjaer brought Clegg back to United before his first season in charge.
Edward Lang
Explaining his role, Edward Leng said, “We try not to get over the players, but we want to gather information to find out what their strengths and weaknesses are, and then create independent programs.”
Lang came to United from Melbourne City and is currently a leading sports scholar.
