Germany’s top-flight football league has resumed for another season as the Bundesliga enters Matchday 4 of the 2021/22 season. The current ongoing season is the overall 59th season of the German league. Bundesliga has always produced world-class footballers through the years, and many strikers and forwards have broken several records. As the 2021-22 season is starting to take shape, we look at the list of players who can win the Bundesliga 2021/22 Golden Boot with betting odds.
Bundesliga 2021/22 Golden Boot Betting Odds
Robert Lewandowski (1/2)
Robert Lewandowski is once again the clear favorite to win the Kicker-Torjägerkanone for this season. The Bayern Munich talisman set another record last season by surpassing the great Gerd Muller as he became the player with the most number of goals in a season with 41 to his name.
Lewandowski will be eyeing his fifth consecutive golden boot in this season. The Poland international currently leads the goal-scoring table for the season with five goals in 3 matches.
Erling Braut Haaland (3/2)
If there is anyone who can challenge Lewandowski or even surpass him in the Bundesliga, it is Erling Haaland. The Norwegian has been in a sensational goal-scoring form and has scored 65 goals in 65 matches overall ever since joining Dortmund in January 2020.
He finished the previous season as the third-highest goal scorer with 27 goals to his name. Haland is currently second in the table with 3 goals in 3 games this season.
Andre Silva (5/4)
Andre Silva is the underdog in the battle for the golden boot. The Portugal international finished as the runner up of Bundesliga goal scorers last season with 28 goals to his name and impressed everyone with his attacking prowess in Frankfurt. Having switched his club once again, the 25-year-old is now leading the attack of RB Leipzig, where he has already opened his goal-scoring account for the season.
Patrick Schick (9/4)
Patrick Schick will have all eyes on him for this Bundesliga season after a successful Euro 2020 campaign. The Czech international finished as the joint Top Scorer of the tournament with five goals and will look to capitalize on his impressive run.
Even if the chances of him winning the golden boot are next to none, he can still break into the top three.
Andrej Kramaric (16/1)
Kramaric is another player who does not get the deserved attention in Bundesliga. The Croatian has been amongst the goals for the past three seasons and was the fifth-highest goal scorer last season after reaching the 20 goals mark.
Andrej Kramaric is Hoffenheim’s all-time record Bundesliga goal scorer and the all-time top goal-scoring Croatian in Bundesliga.
Gio Reyna (66/1)
Giovanni Reyna is a player to watch out for this season. After Jadon Sancho’s departure from Borussia Dortmund, the 2021-22 season looks to be the breakthrough season for Gio Reyna.
The 18-year-old has already shown signs of his attacking abilities and scored two goals in the first three matches of the season till now. If he finds his feet and links up well with Haaland, Gio Reyna will be the next big thing in Bundesliga.
Bundesliga 2021/22 Golden Boot Prediction
The league is still in the initial stages, and it is too early to predict the golden boot winner but considering his overall form in the past few years, Robert Lewandowski is the most favorite to win the Bundesliga 2021/22 Golden Boot award but this season very narrowly as he will have close competition from Haalandand Andre Silva.
