Potter makes Fernandez’s bold prediction as Madueke transfer details come to light – Blessing Sports News
Chelsea and Graham Potter are preparing for their next Premier League game against Everton at the weekend following their impressive 3-1 win over Leicester on Saturday.
Chelsea are flying high and suddenly full of confidence after turning around their woeful form under Graham Potter.
The Blues have taken three straight wins to take the pressure off Potter and really change the mood around the club. Things were looking bleak after a 2-0 loss to Tottenham a few weeks ago, but wins over Leeds and Borussia Dortmund were followed by a 3-1 win at Leicester on Saturday.
With several key players returning from injury and a more established nature in the starting XI, Chelsea are starting to fit in. Goals for Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic finished things off at the King Power Stadium – and attention now turns to Everton at the weekend.
Potter made Fernandez’s prediction
Enzo Fernandez enjoyed a strong run at Leicester on Saturday and was met with glowing praise from his manager.
“He’s a fantastic player, a young player. I think he’ll get better and better when he’s with us more,” Potter told reporters after the game.
“He just arrived in a new country and a new league so you always have to adapt to that. You can see the quality, when he gets the ball he passes it forward. He saw everything.”
The £105 million man was always going to be judged by his record transfer fees after his incredible World Cup, and he is now starting to find his feet in the Premier League.
Honeyke’s Reception

PSV Eindhoven director of football Marcel Brands admits the club are not looking to sell Noni Madueke to Chelsea in January, but feels they have little choice.
Chelsea paid £29m to sign the 20-year-old winger from the Dutch club – and the club’s buying power forced PSV to sell him.
“Of course, it’s a financial issue,” Brands told BNR’s program The Friday Move, via Voetbal Primeur. “But on the other hand, you also have to be realistic. If Liverpool come for Gakpo and promises have been made, you can’t stop them.
“Madueke was neither planned nor expected, but a lot of money came to the table, and that was Chelsea. That’s when we made that choice.
Ancelotti used the example of Chelsea

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has asked his team to remember their close ties to Chelsea to ensure they don’t rest on their laurels against Liverpool this week.
Real hosted Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday with a 5-2 lead, but Ancelotti highlighted last season’s game against the Blues when the Spanish giants secured a 3-1 first-leg victory at Stamford Bridge – before nearly going out.
Chelsea cruised by a stunning three-goal lead in the Spanish capital to put them at the head of the game, before Madrid’s comeback saw them finally progress after extra time in a thumping 5-4 aggregate victory.
“We have experience last year against Chelsea,” said Ancelotti. “We have a three-goal advantage, that’s why we are favourites, but another fact is that we have to play another 90 minutes.”
