Brentford v Burnley – Saturday; Kickoff 3pm

Team News: Brentford will place Kristoffer Ajer and Christian Norgaard on Saturday’s Burnley visit.

The duo were pushed out with Knock in a 3-1 win over Norwich last weekend, but were passed by manager Thomas Frank.

Bees’ only absentee is midfielder Josh Dasilva, who will face the second game of a three-game suspension due to a red card against Newcastle last month.

Burnley captain Ben Mee missed last weekend’s game against Chelsea with a shin injury.

Midfielder Dale Stephens has returned to training but will not be joining London.

Forwards Matej Vydra (elbow dislocation), Erik Pieters (knee) and Johann Berg Gudmundsson (calf) are all out yet.

Jones knows the predictions

Brentford’s game schedule is shrinking. After playing nine games in a row against the top 10 teams, the furnishings with those around them brought them back to life. I want to support them here.

In all cases where they have not won a home match this season, except against Manchester City, Thomas Frank’s team has won the expected goal fight. The same goes for the 3-3 draw against Liverpool and the 1-0 loss against Chelsea.

When it comes to expected goals, it’s a course that is actually the sixth-best home record in the Premier League. 11/10 for a home win looks exciting.

Betting on the card market while the picky Paul Tierney was in charge captured my heart.

No referee has played more cards than Tierney (82) with an average of 4.2 cards per 90 minutes this season. Hopefully, he will be busy booking Brentford players for this match.

Frank’s team played much more intensely and aggressively in their 3-1 win over Norwich, committing 18 fouls. It was a season best for them. And I got 5 yellow cards.

The desire to press higher without sitting was a common theme in our matches against the bottom eight teams. They averaged 32.5 booking points on 10 fixtures this season and over 20 booking points on 9 fixtures. With a card-loving referee, you can get a 6/5 with the Sky Bet that re-occurs on this fixture. That’s a bet for me.

Opta stats…

Unbeaten in their first eight home league matches (4-4) against Burnley between 1933 and 1996, Brentford recently lost 3-1 at home to Clarets in January 2016.
Burnley are looking to achieve a league double against Brentford for the second time in their history, but the other case was in the last campaign they met (2015-16 in the Championship).
Brentford finished 8 league games without a win for Bees as Brentford won 3-1 over Norwich last time. They scored as many goals in that win as their previous seven league games combined. Brentford are aiming for their first consecutive Premier League title.
Since the start of the 2018-19 season (when he moved to Peterborough) Ivan Toney has scored 93 goals in all competitions, with only Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane scoring more goals for the English League teams at that time. Toney also had five hat-tricks in that time and no player has scored more goals in all competitions.
Burnley’s Dwight McNeil has the most goalless shots in the Premier League so far this season (32). Overall, McNeil failed to score in his last 40 shots against Everton until March 13, 2021, almost a year ago.

FREE TO WATCH: Highlights from Manchester City’s win over Manchester United in the Premier League

Team News: Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Rafael Varane will be involved in Manchester United’s emergency Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils lacked the experienced trio for a harsh 4-1 derby defeat to Manchester City over the weekend, but are set to return for a visit from their four-best rivals Spurs on Saturday evening.

Sky Sports News has some suspicions about David de Gea’s involvement, reporting that the Spanish goalkeeper has a coronavirus test problem. Manchester United are working to address the matter, but if De Gea is ruled out, Dean Henderson is expected to take the place.

Luke Shaw tested positive for COVID-19 for the first time last week, and Scott McTominay is expected to miss with a calf injury. Mason Greenwood has been suspended from the club.

Tottenham’s wing-back Ryan Sessegnon has suffered a hamstring injury and will miss the international break.

Sessegnon, with a long history of similar problems, picked up the problem in a 5-0 win over Everton on Monday.

Oliver Skipp (groin) remains with Japhet Tanganga (knee).

Jones knows the predictions

Both of these teams have trust issues. This is challenging because having confidence when making informed betting decisions is absolutely critical to staying ahead. I’ve decided which defenders can be most trustworthy when making outspoken calls to the game. Based on this, Tottenham are taking the lead.

The reason could be Eric Dier. Antonio Conte has heralded Dier as “world class” and his importance to this Tottenham team is clear. In 12 games Dier started in the Premier League as a central defender of 300, Spurs lost just once (W8, D3) and conceded only 7 goals and kept 7 clean sheets.

But instead of supporting Tottenham, I’d like to invest much more in Harry Kane being a deciding factor in this match like his ruthless touch in front of goal. In their last 12 Premier League matches, the England forward has put a bit of a hard start to the season and have scored nine goals, a very impressive conversion rate of 17%. He has also scored four goals in Tottenham’s last five Premier League away matches. I will rinse and repeat the successful angle of last week’s win over Everton by supporting Kane to score once (17/10), twice (11/1) and score a hat-trick (66/1).

Opta stats…

Tottenham have won 2 of their last 3 Premier League away matches against Manchester United (L1). That’s what they got in 26 games (W2 D3 L21), their first visit to Old Trafford in competition.
Manchester United have drawn in their last 3 matches in all competitions (D2 L1). I haven’t been without a win since playing 6 games in September/October 2019.
Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 7 goals (4 goals, 3 assists) in their last 5 Premier League matches against Tottenham Hotspur, scoring and assisting in 3 of these matches.
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has won 4 of their 6 meetings with Manchester United in all competitions, most recently 1-0 in the FA Cup final in May 2018. However, the Italians have lost on both visits to Old Trafford. red devil.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane has scored 93 goals in 137 Premier League away matches. Once again, he will see an equal to Wayne Rooney, who has scored the most goals in a home game in tournament history.
