PSL 2023: In a big development, the Pakistan Cricket Board has scheduled an exhibition match between the Quetta Gladiators and the Peshawar Zalmi ahead of the Pakistan Super League. The encounter is slated to be played at the Bugti Stadium, Balochistan. To note, the 8th edition of Pakistan PSL, is set to take place from February 13 to March 19 in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan. Follow PSL 2023 Live Updates with InsideSport.IN.

To note, both Quetta and Peshawar have won the prized trophy in previous editions. The much-anticipated match between the former champions will take place on February 5, which is observed as ‘Kashmir Day’ throughout Pakistan. Last week, the new PCB management visited Quetta’s only cricket stadium in consultation with production and marketing teams to review the situation.
Speaking on the development, an official of the Quetta Gladiators said, “We are too excited for playing a match at our home for the very first time.”
The official went on to say that PCB has taken a good initiative in organizing the match at the venue, as Quetta Gladiators fans are looking forward to it. “It is a good step taken by PCB, Quetta fans are desperately waiting for this match, and so do we. We are hopeful that all our Pakistani players will participate in this contest. There are a lot of challenges we have to face while hosting this match. Fingers crossed, I hope everything goes well,” he added.
Quetta Gladiators have retained their captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, for the eighth edition, while Peshawar Zalmi have picked Babar Azam as their new captain.
