Report: Gordon completes treatment program, NFLPA recommends reinstatement

The NFLPA has recommended that Josh Gordon be reinstated after he completed his NFL-monitored treatment program, according to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter.

Gordon, who is currently a free agent, is awaiting final approval from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Gordon is also vaccinated and ready play, Schefter reports.

The 30-year-old last played in 2019 with the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. He made 27 receptions for 426 yards and one touchdown before getting suspended indefinitely on December 22, 2020 when the NFL determined that he had broken the terms of his conditional reinstatement from a previous suspension.

Seattle released Gordon in March 2021.

In 63 career games with the Patriots, Seahawks and Cleveland Browns, Gordon has 247 receptions for 4,252 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also was selected as an All-Pro and Pro Bowler during the 2013 season.
