Sean Dyche reveals what he told his Burnley side at half time of Everton win
Burnley boss Sean Dyche has revealed that he told his side that he didn’t think Everton knew how to win a game away from home in his half time team talk, as the Lancashire outfit came from a goal down to win 3-2 in a relegation six pointer.
An early Nathan Collins goal was cancelled out by two Richarlison penalties, that saw the Clarets trail 2-1 going into the break. But goals from Jay Rodriguez and a last minute winner from summer signing Maxwel Cornet ensured that the three points went the way of the Lancashire side, and continued Everton’s miserable run.
Dyche’s side have taken a step towards Premier League safety with the result, moving to within one point of Everton, currently in 17th place, and with it survival in the top flight for another season.
And it is a sign of the times at Goodison Park that Dyche was so cutting with his remarks, as he revealed to Sky Sports after the game.
‘I said to them at half time – I’m not sure these know how to win a game (away from home) lads’, he told the media.

Everton in serious trouble
Frank Lampard’s reign in charge of Everton has produced 8 losses from his 12 games at the helm, and it is unlikely to get any easier for the Toffees. They have a horrid run in, which includes games against four of the top five and a game against a resurgent Leicester City.
Everton are one point clear of the relegation zone and still have to face:

Man United

Unless they turn over a new leaf and spark a much-needed upturn in form, they could be in serious danger of the thrills of Championship football next season.
