Erling Haaland scored in his last match against Borussia Dortmund before making an offer for Manchester City. The Norwegian striker helped the current club in a 2-1 win over Hertha Berlin on the final day of the Bundesliga season.

Haaland scored a penalty kick in just 20 minutes in a brand match called ‘Goodbye Day by Dortmund’. His equalizer at Signal Iduna Park sparked his comeback after Ishak Belfodil’s spot kick against Hertha threatened to ruin his farewell.

And as a tribute to Dortmund’s future, England international Jude Bellingham scored a late winner for fellow teenager Youssouf Moukoko, giving Haaland the perfect red card.

The 21-year-old striker was replaced late and received a standing ovation.

It was announced last week that Haaland would complete a move to Manchester City this summer after City activated a £51.5m release clause. However, Sky Sports News understands that the full transfer, including agent fees and sign-on bonuses, will go up to over £80m.

His five-year contract with Manchester City has an interim release clause. Sky Sports News is aware that this is in excess of the €150m (£127m) reported in Germany. Manchester City are comfortable with the inclusion of this clause, given the size of the fee required to trigger a sale that becomes a club record sale.

After kicking off Saturday goodbye to the applause of his Dortmund teammates for a warm-up, Haaland bowed his head against the club’s yellow walls to thank the club’s supporters.

However, when the game started, Haaland’s last hurrah was not going to be scripted. Dan-Axel Zagadou overpowered Belfodil in the penalty area and the Hertha Man drove the visitors forward in the 18th minute.

Haaland had to wait for his chance and came shortly after Raphaël Guerreiro was knocked out by Marvin Plattenhardt and the Norwegian striker left the shot home on the spot. It is the forward’s 86th goal in 89 matches since joining the forward in early 2020, and his Saturday goal is his 28th in the current campaign in 29 matches.

Following Mukoko’s late winner, Dortmund finished the season eight points behind champions Bayern Munich, while Hertha Berlin finished the season in 17th and then progressed through the playoffs to retain their top spot.

After the match Haaland thanked the Dortmund fans for their support at Signal Iduna Park for two and a half years and spoke of the honor of playing at Signal Iduna Park.

Robert Lewandowski has informed Bayern Munich he wants to leave

The post wrote, “It was an honor to wear this shirt.” “At @BVB I had memorable moments and met special people. Not to mention the fanbase, I’ve always been an extra man on the pitch. Yellow Wall is just amazing. I’ll never forget all of this! Thank you all!”

Bundesliga Round Up: Lewandowski scores as Bayern draw in final
Champions Bayern Munich wasted a two-goal gap to close the season in a 2-2 draw at VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday, but more worrisome is the confirmation that top striker Robert Lewandowski has said he wants to leave the club.

After Paul left the club and informed him that he would not extend his contract, which expired next year, Bayern, who were included in the starting lineup, took the lead from the start. Josip Stanisic set a league record with his team’s 48th goal of the season with a header in the 17th minute of the first half.

Lewandowski scored his 35th league goal of the season as the Bundesliga top scorer for five consecutive seasons, doubling the lead in a match that may have been his last at Bayern.

Jonas Wind pulled one for the host at halftime, and Max Kruse put a slot just before the time mark to create a tie as Bayern ran out of ideas. Bayern won their 10th consecutive league title a few weeks ago.

RB Leipzig scored in extra time via Willy Orban to secure a 1-1 draw with Arminia Bielefeld and finish fourth in the Champions League with the opposing team relegated.

Leipzig needed at least a point to secure a top-four spot, but their task became easier after Freiburg fell short on the last game day after a 2-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen.

In the 70th minute of the first half, Janni Serra scored for Arminia, but Orban headed it from a free kick to score. Leipzig join Champions League champions Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and 3rd placed Leverkusen.

Union Berlin finished the sensational season by beating VfL Bochum 3-2 and secured a place in the Europa League with 57 points (57 points), one point behind Leipzig.

Cologne lost 2-1 after conceding a goal in extra time against VfB Stuttgart, but still qualify for the Europa Conference League. Stuttgart’s last goal sent Hertha Berlin into the relegation playoffs and kept them for another season. Arminia finished 17th and will join Greuther Fuerth in the second division.
