The Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat continue to show that they are two of the most exciting teams to watch in the NBA. This game went to extremes, but in the end Eric Spoelstra simply outscored Billy Donovan to improve his team’s record to 13-7.

Miami was without its star guard Tyler Hero, who was turned off moments before the signal due to a disease other than Covid. Hero showed double-digit results throughout the season and would initially play through his illness, but Spoelstra decided to give him a break instead.

The win was a collective effort for Miami, as Gabe Vincent was their top scorer with 20 points in 31 minutes off the bench. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo had 18 and 19 points, respectively, while Duncan Robinson scored 16 points with four points beyond the arc.

On the other hand, Demar DeRozan led Chicago with 28, and Alex Caruso continued his excellent game off the bench with 22 points. Lonzo Ball managed to score only 11 points in 37 minutes with 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

The whole game was tense until the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter. At that point, the Bulls were eliminated by six and Zach LaVine missed a long three-pointer, but the Bulls got a rebound to extend the game.

After another miss, DeRozan regained the ball and missed the return again, but got involved with a Miami player to force the jump after the rebound. Caruso received the ball after the top and swung it at Zo, who also missed a three.

Butler went to the other end to increase Heat by 8 with 58 seconds to play. DeRozan then kept his country alive with an old-school three-point game to reduce the Heat’s lead to five by 55 seconds to go.

Miami failed to eliminate the match and after 25 seconds until the end, DeRozan scored again to bring his team closer to the scoreboard. After a timeout that improved the ball for the Heat, they performed a perfect trick that led to an easy result by Kyle Lowry to freeze the match.

With this loss, the Bulls have lost 4 of their last 7 games, leaving their record 13-8. They will now wait for the Charlotte Hornets at the United Center so that the Ball brothers can face up for the third time in their NBA careers.

Meanwhile, Heath will have two games at home. They will then face the Denver Nuggets before facing the Cleveland Cavaliers.
