Liberty Star is considered the first round choice

Malik Willis is set to reach No. 2 overall in several mock NFL Drafts but midway through the second day, the Liberty star was still without a team.

Willis proved in college he could throw a ball and run with the ball if needed. He had 2,857 yard passes and 27 touchdown passes in his final year with the Flames. He also ran the ball for 878 yards in 197 carries and scored 13 goals on the ground.

Finally, with choice No. 86, the Tennessee Titans voted for Willis. The Titans got a pick from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Ryan Tannehill’s age could be a factor. Tannehill will be 34 when the 2022 season begins. He has 3,734 yard passes and 21 touchdown passes in 2021. He has only been a Pro Bowler once.

He’s stepped up some mock drafts as the event draws near but has yet to find a new home even with a team in need of a quarterback not taking a chance on him on day two. The Atlanta Falcons picked Desmond Ridder of Cincinnati in the third round before Willis was picked.

Kenny Pickett was the first quarterback when he went to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Former NFL coach June Jones told Fox News Digital earlier this week that he sees Willis as a “project”.

“The guy that everyone is talking about, Malik Willis, I think it’s a project and I’d be in trouble if I was someone who wasn’t really safe in my job to take it because he would be forced to play. a project,” said Jones.

He added he still thinks Willis will be picked up at half-time.
